Great job on your geometry test, 7/8s. March break is around the corner -- just a couple of more things to wrap up. Don't forget that your history test is next Thursday, March 10th. Grade 7s: A doc has been shared with you on Google Drive that summarizes all the important terms and concepts from the Treaty of Utrecht all the way until the Loyalist Migration.
Additionally, your final poems will be due on Wednesday, March 9th. Presentations will also begin that Wednesday afternoon. I will collect the poems as they are presented to the class. Please remember to check the success criteria that we created on Google Drive as well. I'm looking forward to seeing them next week!

History: Grade 8s please ensure that you finish the question on the impact of the Chesapeake Incident and the Trent Affair on Canada's decision to confederate.

Grade 8s
Math: Mr. Charalambous and Mr. Lewis want to be able to play penny hockey on a round table. The problem is that the pennies keep flying off the table and it's getting to be annoying. They think they can use bristol board to help solve the problem. The table has a radius of 45cm. So knowing that, how can they prevent the pennies from flying off the table? Use your mathematical knowledge and ideas to solve your problem.
On a side note, this Tuesday we'll be having a very small quiz to check in on your knowledge of finding diameter, radius and circumference of circles. Remember to review the formulas!
Geography: Today was the last day to change your country if you think you needed to. Make sure that you continue using the time given to work on your HDI project.
Grade 7s
Math: Tuesday we'll also be having a quiz in measurement. You'll be asked two questions: finding the area of an irregular shape and finding the area of a trapezoid.
Also, you had an area of irregular figures work sheet to complete as well. Please finish all 5 questions.
